ReversEntropy Privacy Policy

The Pollux software and service (collectively the “Service”) helps you correct and complete information with respect to your iTunes music library. The Service is brought to you by ReversEntropy LLC, a Delaware Corporation. At ReversEntropy, we take your privacy very seriously. This policy describes when and how we collect information, what we collect, and how we store, use and protect it. The policy covers information connected with use of the ReversEntropy website (www.polluxapp.com) and Service. ReversEntropy is committed to respecting the privacy rights of our customers, visitors, users, and others who use our Service (collectively or individually "Users").

If you have questions or concerns regarding this statement, you should contact privacy@polluxapp.com.

We collect certain demographic information at the time you subscribe to the Service. After downloading the software, we maintain records on your use of the Service such as the number and type of content being identified. Similar to most websites, we track visitors to our sites, where they came from and where they go after leaving our website.

Aside from billing information, ReversEntropy will not collect any information about you without your consent to our Terms of Service. At the time of sign-up, ReversEntropy may ask and record your name, age, ZIP code, gender and email address. You may update this profile information at any time by e-mailing us at support@polluxapp.com.

All billing information such as credit card numbers are processed by ReversEntropy’s payment processor who is held to the highest industry standards for security and privacy. At ReversEntropy, we have no access to such billing information.

Upon sign-up we keep your contact information (email address) entirely separate from any other information that we may have on you so that under no circumstances any usage or other information can be linked directly to you.

We only use the information acquired on an aggregate basis without any possibility of identifying a particular user. We use this information to help us and our partners in understanding the needs of our subscriber base and to improve the quality of the Service. For that reason, we may share aggregate and anonymous information with others but we will never sell, rent, trade or share your contact information with third parties for promotional purposes.

The Service is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under the age of 13 or not able to enter into legally binding contracts.

If you submit personal information to us for any reason (e.g., by e-mailing us for support), we intend to use your personal information solely to fulfill your requests and in providing the Service. In that process we may share your personally identifiable information with our employees, contractors, or agents doing work for us, but for that sole purpose only.

We require all persons doing work for ReversEntropy to comply with our Privacy Policy, and we use reasonable efforts to limit their access to and use of personal information.

Unless you explicitly request additional information from ReversEntropy, the only e-mails you receive from us will be confirmation e-mails and critical service updates. Occasionally, we may inform you of significant changes in the products or services brought by ReversEntropy. We do not send spam or support the activities of spammers.

If you unsubscribe from the Service (by emailing support@polluxapp.com), we remove all profile information from our records and you can easily remove all software from your computer.

In certain limited circumstances, we may be called upon to release your personally identifiable information in response to a court order, subpoena, search warrant, law, or regulation, or to comply with state or federal law. We plan to cooperate with such requests. ReversEntropy also reserves the right to support the prosecuting of users who, in our judgment, violate our Terms of Service or injure or interfere with ReversEntropy's or others' rights or property, even when this may require disclosure of your personal information.

In the event that ReversEntropy is acquired by or merged with a third party, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer the information we have collected from our Users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors' rights generally, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used. Therefore, you should know that in such event, your personal information may be treated like any other ReversEntropy asset, and sold, transferred or shared with third parties, or used in ways not contemplated or permitted hereunder, without notice to you or your consent.

ReversEntropy uses physical, managerial and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. Though ReversEntropy uses these safeguards, no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

ReversEntropy will attempt to notify you by email, if we are in possession of your email address, of any security breach that requires your attention.

This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically. Please revisit this site to stay aware of any changes. In general, we will only use your personal information in the manner described in the Privacy Policy in effect when we received the personal information you provided. If we decide that we would like to use your personal information in a manner that is materially less protective of your privacy than the Privacy Policy in effect at the time we received your personal information, we will seek to provide Users notice and obtain consent to the new use or disclosure. Privacy Policy changes will be indicated by a change to the effective date at the end of the policy. We will post a notice and link to our main Web page.
